Iconic Lake Minnetonka. One of the greatest reason’s Minnesota summers are so amazing. Wayzata, Excelsior, Deephaven, Orono, Mound, Minnetonka Beach – each lake town offers different things and has it’s own history. Harrison grew up in Lafayette Bay for 23 years and is obsessed with the lake life so you could say this is a very special piece. This map is more of a symbol. When you look at it, you think of the Wharf at Fletcher’s, anchoring at Big Island, 4th of July weekend, fireworks in Tonka Bay, jumping off the Arcola Bridge, water sports and boating to movies at “The Dock”. #GetPurified

Creation process

Each piece we create is built with pride in our shop in Minneapolis, MN. For this piece, we start by cutting the backboard to size. Next, we use a laser cutter to cut out the lake, compass, and text. We then attach these to the backboard with a pin nailer and/or epoxy. Lastly, we finish the piece by using a nail gun to secure the frame to the backboard. WE DO NOT ADD ANY FINISHING COAT TO PROTECT THE PIECE FROM EXTENDED EXPOSURE OUTDOORS AS THIS SIGN IS MADE TO BE HUNG INDOORS.

Hanging

Every piece comes ready to hang. It is best to put a screw into a stud in the wall for hanging, but studs aren’t always located where you’d like them to be. In this case it is best to use a wall anchor. Click the link below to see more information about how to properly hang your art.

Lead Time

ALL ORDERS ARE MADE TO ORDER. As soon as your purchase is made it will be added to our production schedule. Our production lead time is typically 2-3 weeks from the date of purchase not including shipping time (if you purchased shipping). If you did purchase shipping, this can add 2-7 days depending on where it is going. If you have an earlier deadline, send us an email before purchasing at uptownwoodworks@gmail.com and we’ll see if we can accommodate you.

Getting Your Product

At checkout you can select either pickup or shipping.

Pickup: Pickup is free. If you select pickup, we will send you a follow up email as soon as your order is complete with instructions for pickup from our shop at 2400 North 2nd Street, Suite 101, Minneapolis, MN 55411

Shipping: There is an added fee for shipping calculated based on the shipping address you enter. If you select shipping, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order is shipped.
